School Counselors, formerly known as Guidance Counselors, help students develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to be healthy, successful members of society. They teach in areas of academic success, personal/social growth, and college/career readiness. School Counselors proactively present a comprehensive, data-driven school counseling program to meet the needs of ALL students in the school.

Hello! I am looking forward to working with your students here at DMS. I grew up in the surrounding area and have worked in the school counseling field for 5+ years. I graduated with my undergraduate degree from Simpson College, then worked in various fields including BHIS, human services, and college admissions prior to earning my graduate degree in School Counseling. When not here at DMS I enjoy spending time with my husband and three children, seeing friends, reading, and traveling.
