At the end of our government unit, Student made a significant effort to demonstrate how a protest campaign can influence political change. Student should consider that many cause and consequence relationships are long term and stretch into the present and future. I suggest that Student stays up to date with news and make attempts to see how developments in the past and present will have consequences in the future.
At the end of our government unit, Student showed how a protest campaign can influence political change. By making their own political campaign, they had to consider conditions in need of change and develop ideas for how those changes could be brought about. Student should work on recognizing the multitude of factors that exist in a cause and consequence relationship. I suggest that Student stays up to date with news and make attempts to see how developments in the past and present will have consequences in the future.Â

Student was able to anticipate outcomes of their campaign on changemakers and society in a discussion about their own decision-making. Student should focus on recognizing the relative importance of causes and the scale of the consequences. Student can practice identifying causes and consequences in current events and making connections with historical events, people and events.
