Overview

Reducing the achievement gap and increasing equitable outcomes for students is a complex process that requires the support of multiple stakeholders, a variety of long term interventions and policy changes. With the rapid transition to remote learning, it is predicted that long-standing academic and opportunity gaps will be exacerbated (Kuhfeld & Tarasawa, 2020). With this in mind, the Dell Technologies Education Strategy team has created a guidance document to support districts and families as they launch and refine learning programs for students experiencing extended school closures. The considerations included below focus on supporting social and emotional learning, literacy and mathematics. The resources should not be seen an exhaustive list.
