CodeSnaps is an easy-to-use block coding environment. (Block coding is a simple way to write basic programs using "blocks" making it easy to visually understand what the program will do. This helps students learn the logic behind coding without needing to learn a confusing text-based programming language.)
"The app takes advantage of tangible, printed coding blocks, allowing students to prepare programs together on a shared work surface without a device. After students scan the blocks with the app, commands can be executed on the connected robot (compatible robots include Sphero, Ollie, SPRK, and SPRK+)." - Curriculum Pathways
The kit that we have available contains the printed blocks which are laminated and magnetic. We also have five metal baking sheets to which the blocks can cling.
