I began my education career as a 3rd grade teacher at Ruhama Junior High School. My 11 students helped me quickly fall in love with teaching. I taught 5th and 6th grade at Ruhama and then moved to Ider as the librarian for 8 years. I have always enjoyed using technology in the classroom and learning about the "newest thing."
I started teaching in Jan. 2009 at Bob Jones High School. I was one of 17 math teachers!! The next year I taught 6th-8th math at Macedonia School in Jackson County... I only had one class that had more than 17 students! Next, I taught high school math at Collinsville School for five years and then 6th-grade math at Fyffe School (three years).
