DKDC-LEGENDS - 2016 Poems

Kaylee Bayer: Moving on to our staff, the next Legend is at the pool, no matter the situation she always keeps her cool. As a camper and a Dolphin counselor she’s always given all of her, of course she’s never too far from her personal star, this guy named Oliver. About her only good things you will hear, our newest Legend’s name is Kaylee Bayer.

Zoe Dartley: The next Legend needs no introduction at all, that’s because she would do that herself to one and to all. They named a Sesame Street character for her, which wasn’t a surprise, when it comes to characters in general, she takes the prize. She’s caring and sweet and gets to deal with our boys, for that among many other things she deserves a lot of noise. The one, the only Zoe!

Samantha Devries: Our first camper Legend actually started in Girls A, when there was such a thing (would be the Bambis now). Since then she’s been a Hart, a Royal, a Wapiti, a Sub, a Senior and now a STAR. Quick with a smile for anyone she sees, let’s give it up for Sammi Devries.

Steve Greenberg: He started in the Senior Boys and immediately we saw he could control the noise (somewhat). He lead the way on a memorable tubing trip but of course he also met Mallory so it was clearly worth it. It’s hard to believe he now has two twins in tow, if you’re not sure who’s who, Carter wears pink earrings I now know. He helps campers overcome their fears and hurts, all while keeping up Alan’s tradition of sweating through his shirts. Thank you Steve for 10 years of caring, we’re both looking forward to years more of sharing.

Chris Peterson: The next member of our Legends club also is a STAR, both near and afar. Similar to our first Legend, he started in Boys A, who would’ve thought he’d still be here today. He lives closer to camp than most, but has come so far while here, and that we must toast. Welcome to the club Chris Peterson.

Taylor Quattrocchi: Next up to join our Legends was with Sammi in Girls A, back in 2007 with Colleen Sherlock leading the way. She’s also been a Gazelle, an Impala, Wapiti, Sub, Senior and STAR, she’s very thoughtful and eager and with that she will go far. We’ve always saved a line on our swim boards for the girl whose last name ends with Q, Taylor Quattrocchi you know what to do.

Todd Rothman: Woo hoo!

Noah Weiss: The third newest Legend is our only camper in the crew, I still remember his first day, boy how much he grew. He shed tears when he first arrived and had to be coaxed to stay, ten years later he’s a Legend today. His family are already legends twice, let’s clap our hands for Mr. Noah Weiss.
