Grade 4
In Fourth grade we will have music twice a week.
General music class: We will learn the Recorder and earn belts along the way! Look back here for music and various other helpful links along the way.
Chorus: All three grades will come together as a grade and learn to make a unified sound together!
Extra! Band Instruments during the school day. Trumpet, Trombone, Clarinet, Flute, Drums!
Fourth grade music classes are designed to assist students in synthesizing the tonal and rhythm pattern vocabularies developed at earlier grade levels for reading and writing with standard music notation vocally, on rhythm instruments, and pitched instruments, including recorders and ukuleles. Students’ listening and performance skills are developed, individually and in ensemble (in music classes, and chorus). Music of the Americas is a focus, tying in with the social studies curriculum; students learn a wide repertoire of songs from Canada, the regions of the United States and Latin America.
