About Mrs. Santos!
Sara Santos (Allen) is an Elementary Music Teacher in the Dedham School District since 2015. Previously, she has worked with inner-city students in the Boston and Lynn areas. Preparing independent musicians is her number one goal as a music educator. In her schools she incorporates a research based curriculum of various methods to give a balanced curriculum in her classroom. She constantly seeks out new research from various methods to encourage her musicians musical aptitude in her classroom.
Currently, Mrs. Santos serves on the Massachusetts Music Educators Association (MMEA) sub committee for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. In addition, she held the position of General Music Coordinator for the MMEA- Eastern District 2016-2020 years and All-State NAfME Board as the General Music Representative for the 2017-2021 and she held the position of Equipment Manager for All-State where she organized instruments for the All-State Ensembles from 2015-2022.
Mrs. Santos holds her Masters in Music Education, 2014, and a Undergraduate in Music Education, 2009, from Gordon College, Wenham, MA. In Ms. Santos' free time you can find her at home cooking with her Husband, Pedro, and her daughter, Isabella.
