In third grade, students continue singing, chanting, moving, improvising, and performing on classroom instruments. They also begin instruction on the recorder. Through a variety of repertoire, third graders learn how to sing rounds and perform together as an ensemble on recorder and voice. They also learn about the instruments of the orchestra in preparation for band in fourth grade.
