Central Question: How Should We Go Forward with AI?
I chose this topic because I have always been interested in computers. It just seemed magical, a box which contained information through a code of 1's and 0's, and would spit out live video from 20 miles away. I've learned coding before, but I always learned the same thing: computers are incredibly complicated. When FIRST came up and AI was a popular topic, I decided that that was what I wanted to do. I also attribute some of my interest to a few popular videos circulating around YouTube. These interested me, and I decided to learn more about AI's effects.
Abstract: AI is a technology that can learn and solve problems more efficiently than basic decision trees. It will most likely affect jobs in many areas, such as food, accounting, law, and medicine. While AI may bring about new and great things, it also has the potential to bring negative consequences that we must be prepared for.
