Cross country senior Farhan Ibrahim set a school record of 15:27 at the Nike Portland XC meet at Blue Lake on Sept. 28, beating Joey Hambrick’s time of 15:34 at a district meet in 2000.

Ibrahim ran a 15:37 at the Mount Hood Conference Preview Meet on Sept. 11, and another 15:37 at the Ash Creek XC Festival on Sept. 18. The team had thought Ibrahim broke the school record then, but discovered Hambrick’s time. 

Ibrahim transferred from Parkrose High School this year. He was quick to praise his team. “We don’t have a big team,” he said. “But we always turn out to support each other.”
