Enrollment: our beginning enrollment is up slightly, about 10 kids over last year. The numbers are so much more fluid than they used to be, we could lose or gain ten students pretty easily tomorrow.

Meeting highlights

1. Handbooks: The board approved the handbooks for students, activities and staff at the meeting. These handbooks were also extensively re-written last year based on a template provided by our legal counsel.

2. Insurance: The board accepted the low bid from ALICAP to be the district insurance provider for the coming year. ALICAP is a risk pool for schools run by the state school boards association (NASB).

3. Classification: When classifications came out this fall the Girls Golf team was Class C. Cross Country was D and Volleyball was D-1.

4. Insured Cash Sweep: The board gave the go ahead for our bank, Pinnacle Bank, to change how our deposits are handled. With this new program our deposits will all be FDIC covered at all times.
