Allison went to the University of Boulder and obtained her degree in Psychology. She then obtained her Masters of Social Work at the University of Denver. Allison has been a School Social worker in Douglas County School District since 2005. Originally from Colorado Springs, Allison has lived in Castle Rock since 2007 with her two children.

Kids do well if they can, if they can't, then there is something going on. Here is what I know to be true, all behavior has a function, something to say, a need to be met.

I do not know everything about children, and I know that I can't do it on my own. I need my village; my family, neighbors, school, and fellow parents. I'm thankful that I have multiple adults with eyes and ears in this age of parenting to be part of my village.

Humans can do hard things. We can grow and change the most when we are uncomfortable, and I'm most uncomfortable when I'm doing hard things. These hard things build my resilience, independence, responsibility, appreciation and character.
