Educational Support

I have told parents that the school system, as it is currently set up, is  very much a "box", in the way achievement is measured. For a long time, I was a student that didn't fit that "box." I didn't do my work, I had summer school, and I almost didn't graduate high school with good enough grades to get into college.

Thankfully, I had teachers and amazing adults in my life who saw me and my potential. With these people in my life, I made it to college, where it finally clicked for me, and I found the love of learning.

For the parents out there, that have children struggling in school, know that your child's adult success cannot accurately be measured by academic test scores alone. Social skills, emotion management, flexibility, resiliency, perseverance, responsibility, and other Soft Skills are needed to be a fully functioning adult.

Keep this in mind and know you are not alone.
