RC Clubs have been doing some amazing things! Check it out!
Interact Club:
Boo for Wildfires: Raised about $800 for Maui Wildfire Relief from candy grams and MOD
Blanket Drive: Over 170 donations, resulting in over 130 handmade blankets donated to homeless shelters and Project Linus.
Jags Go Pink!
Through fundraisers, bake sales, and other events, successfully raised over $800 for breast cancer patients and research. Last semester, Jags Go Pink! worked with Cycle Bar for a fundraising event which was the highlight of the year.
Thanks Key Club for the amazing Blood Drive! And to all of you who donated:
The totals are in…We hoped to get 39 units of blood and you all brought in 52 units of blood!!
Thank you for being Superheroes this Halloween!
Key Club:
November and December 2023 completed a gift/toy drive for the Salvation Army in Denver (Lambuth Family Center) and were able to gift the kids with things they needed and requested for the holidays.
December 2023: semester event of Sweet Dreams in a Bag, packing sleeping and hygiene materials for children all over Colorado experiencing poverty and/or homelessness.
Gearing up for our semester Blood Drive, the week before Valentine's Day! Also, planning a Spring semester event at Denver Health; Newborns in Need with packing/assembling baby items for needy families. Due to so many more families coming to Denver Health, we now have a secondary opportunity of donating special items that they need. So if students aren't able to volunteer at the hospital, they can still contribute and assist these families.
Eco Club:
Eco Club won the Renew Our Schools competition! Students had to complete an audit of campus electricity use, utilize our building eGauge data and add more LED lighting and surge protectors/timers to conserve electricity. Posters were added around the school to encouraged people to turn off devices that were not in use.
This compeition was sponsored by DCSD Sustainability and earned the Club $1100. DCSD Sustainability has added an additional $500 more to that. The Eco Club is looking at options for how to use that to continue energy conservation efforts at RCHS.
Congratuations Eco Club!
