Join Us for a Free Virtual Author Visit with Matthew Cordell!

We’re thrilled to welcome Caldecott Medal–winning author and illustrator Matthew Cordell for a special interactive event!

During this live virtual visit, Matthew will:

• Share about his life, creative journey, and the inspiration behind his books

• Talk about the birding adventures (and love of owls!) that inspired To See an Owl

• Read To See an Owl aloud for all to enjoy 

• Lead a step-by-step draw-along session where kids will learn to draw several different owl species

By the end of the visit, every student will have their very own hand-drawn owl identification chart, a keepsake to remember the experience!

What to Bring: Just a pencil and paper!
