Each year, Douglas County School District comes together through the shared experience of reading one exceptional book.

This year's One Book One District selection, Just in Case: Saving Seeds in the Svalbard Global Seed Vault, invites students, families, and staff to explore the importance of protecting biodiversity, preserving our planet, and imagining a brighter future. Throughout the week, schools across the district will participate in literacy activities, STEM connections, discussions, and community events inspired by this remarkable story.

Together, we'll discover how even the smallest seeds can help shape tomorrow.
