SPECIALS

Our class will rotate weekly between five different specials: Art, Music, Physical Education, Science, and Innovation Lab.

Every five weeks, the rotation will start again.

Week 1: Art

Week 2: Music

Week 3: Physical Education

Week 4: Science

Week 5: Innovation Lab

The first three days of school will run as follows, starting regular weekly rotations on August 18th.

August 13th: Physical Education

August 14th: Science

August 15th: Innovation Lab

Our class has a library session weekly on Thursdays.

Snack, Meal, and Water Guidelines

Students may bring two peanut-free snacks each day, along with a sealed, reusable water bottle clearly labeled with their full name. Due to life-threatening allergies in our classroom, no peanut or tree nut products are allowed during snack time. Families can choose to pack a lunch for their child or have them eat school-provided meals. If your child will be eating breakfast at school, please ensure they arrive with enough time before the school day begins to eat comfortably.

Birthday Guidelines

To ensure the safety of all students, especially those with life-threatening allergies, no food items are allowed for birthday celebrations. If you would like to send in small non-food items, such as pencils, erasers, stickers, fidgets, or similar, you’re welcome to do so. Please notify me at least one week in advance if you plan to send anything in so we can plan accordingly.

Behavior Expectations

In our third-grade classroom, every student is expected to follow our shared school and class values:

Be Respectful – Treat all classmates and staff with kindness and care.
Show Integrity – Do the right thing, even when no one is watching.
Be Safe – Make choices that protect yourself and others.
Own Your Mistakes – Learn from them and make things right.
Never Give Up – Keep trying, even when things are hard.

These expectations apply to how we treat one another, both in the classroom and throughout the school community.

Creating a safe, supportive classroom is a team effort. When families and teachers work together, students feel secure, valued, and ready to learn. Our goal is to build a space that feels like home, a place where everyone belongs, grows, and succeeds.

We are a team, and your child benefits the most when school and home stand together in unity and partnership.
