What is Advisement?
The purpose of Advisement is an opportunity to catch up on missing work as well as build relationships with peers and the teacher.
Monday - CMS Reads - Students work to build sustainability and a love of reading
Tuesday - Study Hall
Wednesday - SEL Lessons through WayFinder - provided by District
Thursday - Study Hall
Friday - CANN and then Study Hall
During study time, students have the opportunity to seek help from their teachers or work on their own.
Advisement Rules
Students will be expected to follow all classroom expectations from my normal class time as well as
Make Good Use of Our Time.
All students should remain in their seats unless they have permission to be working somewhere else.
No talking during homework time, except to ask for help, or to provide help to another student.
Grading for PAWS
Students will be expected to be prepared each day with 2 homework assignments and a book plus materials to work with; students will receive preparedness points for having their materials. Points for Advisement are tracked on the Advisement Tracker. This can be found in the Advisement Google Classroom.
