Hello and welcome!
Physical Education at Coyote Creek is a comprehensive, developmentally appropriate K–6 program that supports the whole child. Students build a strong foundation of physical skills and develop them over time through team sports, cooperative games, and fitness activities.
My goal is to create a fun, safe, and inclusive environment where all students are introduced to authentic, sustainable, lifelong physical activities. Along the way, they grow in both physical ability and social-emotional learning, gaining the confidence and skills needed to lead healthy, active lives.
The curriculum is aligned with the Colorado Comprehensive Health and Physical Education Academic Standards. From the moment students enter the gym, they are actively engaged in goal setting, teamwork, critical thinking, fair play, kindness, effort, and learning how to strategize, while understanding that every student is a valuable team member, no matter their ability.
