Practice
We will be practice every week. We play games on Tuesday and Thursday. We will have events throughout the season, so please keep an eye on the schedule.
Sierra Junior Tennis Association puts on tournaments and clinics for students to get better. Most locations are in Reno. Please view their website for these opportunities.
Print and fill out the pre-season form! You MUST have this completed BEFORE you can join us on the court. We'll go Tuesday and Thursday throughout the summer. We'll start in the weight room at DHS then move to the courts.

Tryouts are now concluded for the 2023 season. Please keep an eye out in the spring for next fall's information.
We will all start August 4th at the DHS courts. We will have a tryout set up as well as ladder play over two weeks to determine where everyone sits.
Mandatory team practice will start Monday August 4th from 7:00am-9:30.

Everyone needs a black short (you can buy one anywhere but I'll offer one)

Please pay Coach by August 23rd. Checks can be made out to Douglas High School; memo: Girls Tennis. Please reach out if you aren't sure on the total.

Teammates will be expected to contact 20 sponsors through text or email. We are trying an online approach this year. Feel free to reach out to a business in our community as well.
We will still meet together for some treats and a little tennis to put together our message and campaign.
Please join on September 9th at DHS from 7:30am to about 10:30am.
Teammates will be expected to get sponsors by asking members and businesses of our community to support our tennis team. Sponsors can provide a flat fee or a fee based on the number of serves a player serves in. Once we have monetary commitments, girls are expected to attend our mandatory Serve-a-thon day on Saturday, September 9th from 7:30 am to 10:30.
Ask Coach for packet if you have not received one.

Tryouts!
In order to even try out, you MUST complete your registration through Register My Athlete before the cut off that Douglas High School. Coaches do not have any say or sway in the registration process. Please contact Kristi Cross - kcross@dcsd.k12.nv.us
