Dr. Jennifer Graham, DVM, Dipl. ABVP (Avian / Exotic Companion Mammal), Dipl. ACZM, Graham Veterinary Consulting, LLC, Madison, Alabama -- Dr. Graham is a graduate of Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed an avian/exotic internship at the University of Georgia followed by a 3-year residency in avian/exotic animal medicine at the University of California at Davis. Dr. Graham is board certified with the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners in Avian and Exotic Companion Mammal practice categories as well as with the American College of Zoological Medicine. Her areas of professional interest include oncology, Encephalitozoon cuniculi, and emergency and critical care of exotic species.
Dr. Sarah Sirica DVM, MPH, Clinic Director, City Wildlife, Washington, DC -- Dr. Sirica earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Bridgewater College in Virginia. Her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine and Master of Public Health were completed at the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Sirica enjoys teaching both veterinary students and rehabilitation interns. Her favorite topics include wildlife disease, wound management, and One Health.
Dr. Graham and Dr. Sirica will share their educational journeys, career paths, and work experiences. This is a chance for students, in grades 9-12, to hear first-hand accounts about how practitioners prepared for vet school, mastered vet school, and chose their post-graduation careers. Questions will be answered, possibly even what are Encephalitozoon cuniculi.

Hi y'all! I am very excited for this opportunity to explore college nursing. This trip is going to be a great learning experience and a great time to ask questions about college, nursing, and healthcare. I will be sending out information in the next few days regarding what our agenda is going to look like! Please be mindful that while on campus and in public, we are representing HOSA and the DCI Academy of Health Sciences. Ford is a nurse practitioner, who serves as the Medical Director for Trust-N-the-Journey (TNJ) Direct Primar Care and the Co-Chair of professional Development for the Black Nurse Collaborative, Inc. He will speak to his day to day work in his roles and discussing some of the important details and ventures that are required to get to his level of nursing.
Hello HOSA! Tomorrow during Middle School HOSA we will be having an in person guest speaker session. Dr. Klein is a retired oncologist and will be talking about his career journey and education, as well as taking student questions. Premed Projects are offering another exciting range of summer projects for your students that are looking to apply for university courses in medicine. We are running special 1-week and 2 week projects in The UK and in Thailand during the holidays in July and August 2024 designed for students aged 14-17 from all over the world to take part in.
The Summer camps are attended by students of every different nationality and the medicine work experience projects are designed to combine learning about life as a doctor with an unforgettable travel experience too for students.
Students will spend weekdays shadowing highly skilled doctors in their day-to-day work on a fully-supervised hospital placement. Students will also have the benefit of clinical teaching, safe and secure accommodation, food, airport transfers, local orientations, 24/7 support from our staff teams and lots of help with preparations for their trip too.
The projects are either 1 or 2 weeks long and students should simply select the dates that suit them best:
30th June - 13th July 2024
14th July - 20th July 2024
21st July - 3rd August 2024
4th August - 10th August 2024
11th August - 17th August 2024
