I have 2 cats at home, their names are Rosie and Mew Mew; I chose this topic because I would do anything not to see them on the streets alone. But I know that there are many cats and dogs out there struggling to survive every day. So I chose this topic to try and give as many strays a home as possible. I have seen many strays in my life, in Korea, Japan, Malaysia, HK and many more, and the sad thing is, the owner could done more than just dump them on the streets, it is not their fault, so let give them the second chance they deserve!

Hello! I am Audrey and I chose stray animals for my exhibition topic mainly because of my two cute pets, Kiwi and Sunny. I have had many pets before, a turtle called Melty, three parrots; lovebird Green Apple aka GA, Galaxy, a pretty blue parrot, Pipi, who was born on the day of the pie (March 14th of 2023), six fish, and twelve more living at my grandparents' house. I also have a dog friend called Mao Mao 毛毛 living in Hu Bei, China. She loves sausages, and will run a for one or two, despite her small size and dog breed, Kuji. I have had lots of experience with pets, and I know how naughty they are. They run around the house squawking and pooping on the floor, and stand perched on my mother's phone. I've also seen lots of strays, one still living near my building's swimming pool. Two cats, ranging from three to four years old, are living near a roundabout in Discovery Bay. They sometimes let me stroke and pet them, even though I can see the fur prickling along the ginger cat's spine. An old man who lives near them also feeds the strays, and I can feed them too. Daytime they wander off to play, about 6:00 pm they come back and get fed with welcoming people.

I have one havanese dog at my house and my grandma had a dog that died. I have lots of dogs throughout my family so helping animals mean a lot to me. I chose this topic because when my dogs got a disease , I felt very sad and when I see hurt animals on the street and I also feel very sad to see them suffer so I think that humans should stand up and help them because we were the ones that made them hurt. So I think we should be the ones to make them healthy and happy again.

I have one Jack Russell (dog) at my house and 3 dogs in my hometown. I chose this topic because I went to many shelters and saw how packed they were. I wanted to give all of these animals a home and experience love. I have also seen many strays, not even in shelters but in the streets or roads, in the risk of dying from the irresponsibility of their owners. I think some people in the Earth don't see what they are really doing and just abuse their pets to the point where they either toss them in the streets or kill them with their own hands. I just want to raise awareness and also take action to help humans know what they are doing and possibly help too.
Ms. Miller - Our mentor! She's been helping us with our exhibition, giving us lots of advice so we'll never get stuck. She's a primary teacher here in Discovery College, and spares her time for our mentor meetings, conferences that we discuss and perfect our work.
All of us! - We are the exhibition group Claws & Paws. We are all passionate about our topic because of our own reasons, but in the end, we all chose stray animals as our topic. We have learned about stray animals in at least 12 weeks of intense study, and we are taking action by volunteering at a shelter (Sai Kung Stray Friends SKSFF), making a mini story book about stray animals, giving out souvenirs, bookmarks, and stickers reminding others about stray animals with a catchy slogan, and, like what we are doing right now, taking care of our pets and writing a website.
Common - We all have experience with pets!
