The Learner Portfolio (LP) is an individual collection of your work and is a mandatory element of the course. It is evidence of the way you have engaged with the course, the concepts and the texts we study. While not formally assessed, it could be used to authenticate your work and so it is essential that your LP includes a range of evidence to validate your formal assessments.
The Course Guide tells us, 'The learner portfolio must consist of a diversity of formal and informal responses to the literary and non- literary texts studied, which may come in a range of critical and/or creative forms, and in different media. It is the student’s own record of discovery and development throughout the course.'
You can include anything that demonstrates your learning. You can include work that shows:
how you connect with the texts
how you prep for assessments
how you reflect on assessments
how you are creatively inspired by texts, concepts, issues and ideas
records of feedback
reflections of class activities
a curation of possible extracts for the IO
your self assessment or reflection on assessment
experiments with form and style
This is an opportunity for you to take ownership of your learning and be free!
