When you start a group task, assign roles so each contributor knows what they need to do for the task to be successful.
Set a goal.
Establish group rules for communication. Reflect on how your communication skills are helping (or hindering) the collaboration.
Encourage group members who are not participating to join in. And call out those who are getting you off task.
Communicate with your teacher if there are barriers. For example, the group may be too large of the time given too brief.
Be a risk taker. You may need to move out of your comfort zone to enable the task to be successful.
MOST GREAT LEARNING HAPPENS IN GROUPS. COLLABORATION IS THE STUFF OF GROWTH.
