A two days National workshop "Skill Development to Build a Clean India" was designed to meet and bridge the gap among students, concerned stakeholders etc. who can take up the responsibilities in time to come and play vital role in meeting the Honorable Prime Minister’s dream of Skilled Bharat and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
The objective of the workshop was to bring together the representatives from various scientific institutions, the teaching faculty at various universities and institutions, research scholars and students, and focus on various environmental issues with a view to share information and opportunity for pollution prevention by the experts of environment fraternity. During the course of time encouraging interests were shown by Central Pollution Control Board, Indian Association for Air Pollution Control, Defence Research Laboratory, Defence Research and Development Organisation, Tezpur, and Envirotech Instruments Pvt. Ltd to actively participate in the workshop by displaying their equipment and products. Their participation in the workshop was beyond our expectation and we place on record their co-operation for the workshop and society.

The workshop was concluded by Valedictory Session, where experts from JNU and Centre for Scientific and Technical Terminology, MHRD addressed the gathering. They were of the opinion that this kind of workshop where faculty members and students have the opportunity to interact with experts from industry and various Government organisations like CPCB, IMD, TERI etc. are useful for sustainable development in the country.
