L. Taylor Hallman (Coach Hallman)

Hey everyone!

My name is Lauren Taylor Hallman. I grew up in Davidson County. I went to the very middle school I now teach at, E. Lawson Brown Middle School. Following middle school, I graduated from East Davidson High school. I then attended Appalachian State University where I acquired a Bachelors Degree in Science, also obtaining a K-12 Health and Physical Education professional educator’s license.

I have been teaching and coaching at Brown for 2 years. I have assisted with both softball and volleyball, and head coach girls basketball. Sports have always been my passion growing up, so becoming a Health/PE teacher wasn't ever a shock to anyone who knew me. Living an active lifestyle has fueled my passion for Physical Education (PE). Physical activity has played a large role in my life from playing well known sports like basketball and soccer, and even branching out to non-mainstream sports such as rugby in college. I have a passion for teaching youth and encouraging them to participate in physical activity. It is not only my personal goal, but our goal as a PE department at Brown Middle School, to promote a sense of confidence, well-being and achievement for ALL our students through movement and health.
