The resume submitted with law school applications does not differ very much from the standard resume you complete for internship or job applications. Presented information is the same, including:
Education
Internships, research or other relevant experience
Leadership and campus or community involvement
Employment
Skills
Where the resume can differ is that law school admissions representatives do not necessarily require that the document be only one page in length. But it's important to keep in mind:
Always follow the individual law school's instructions. If it's indicated that resumes should adhere to one page, plan to do so.
If more than one page is allowed, two pages is more than enough space to present your information.
Additional tips:
List your LSAC number in your contact information at the top of the resume (on the same line where your email address, phone number and city/state location are listed).
Follow standard resume guidelines for items including font size/style and presentation. The Handshake Resume Guide is a great resource to learn tips and view sample templates.
Review the resume with the Prelaw Advisor or a Matthews Center career advisor.
