Prelaw is a preprofessional program at Davidson, not a specific major. Prelaw students study a variety of undergraduate majors - there is no specific course of study you have to pursue. Select one that you enjoy!
"Prelaw@Davidson" means a network of resources and opportunities available to Davidson students from all academic disciplines who have interests in pursuing law. This network includes:
A prelaw advisor
Student organizations
Law-related events and programs
Career-related experience through internships, research and education abroad
Legal-related courses across multiple majors. While not required, such courses offer interesting insights into how law intersects with so many facets of society and culture.
A liberal arts education is a fantastic foundation for law. Many courses provide opportunities to develop skills for success in law school and beyond. Check out the American Bar Association's Prelaw page, highlighting those you'll want to hone.
