We started the day off by playing hot potato with the earth ball. Afterwards we finished doing our soil tests from the soils we collected from Mount Cardigan. Group narwhals did the garden test, while group harp seals did their microscope test. We then took an hour-long drive to Moosilauke, where we then heard a lecture from Lauren discussing the importance of JSEP and collaboration. Afterwards, we wrote down ideas for our final project on sticky notes and divided into two main groups, focusing on two main questions, including ones focused on soil and trees. Afterwards, we spent time looking at into the terrain and collecting our first sample. It was very hard. Next, we ate dinner and saw Chelsea win in the spoon-cup game (and Jay lost). Finally we played a game of soccer in the dark until we couldn’t see anymore.
