- Respond to adults with "Yes ma'am" or "No sir" (Yes or No will also work).
- Make eye contact when someone is speaking.
- Congratulate the winner or when someone does something well.
- Respect other students' comments, opinions, and ideas.
- If you win, do not brag; if you lose, do not show anger.
- Cover your mouth when you sneeze or cough, and say excuse me.
- Do not show disrespect with gestures.
- Always say thank you when give something.
- Perform random acts of CAPS.
- Follow along when we read together in class.
- Answer all written questions with a complete sentence.
- You must complete your homework when given.
- Transitions will be swift, quiet, and orderly. (Within 3 minutes)
- Be as organized as possible.
- When a substitute is present, all class rules still apply.
- Follow your split plan or assigned teacher.
- Follow ALL classroom procedures and rules.
- You may bring a bottle of water to class in a clear container (with a cap, no flavor packets); you may not leave for a drink of water during class.
- Food and drinks should not be seen or consumed outside of the cafeteria.
- Know other teachers' names and greet them in the hall by name.
- Keep yourself and the bathrooms clean.
- Greet visitors and make them feel welcomed.
- Never cut the line. After dining in the cafeteria or elsewhere, be responsible for your trash.
- When meeting new people, shake hands (when introduced) and repeat their name with eye contact.
- If someone drops something and you are close to it, pick it up and give it back.
- Hold the door for people rather than letting it close on them.
- If someone bumps into you, say excuse me, even if it was not your fault.
- During an assembly do not speak or call out to friends.
- Do not bring perfume or anything scented into the classroom.
- If anyone is bullying you, let me know.
- Follow the cell phone and school ID policy.
