In 2009 the movie Zombieland was released starring Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone, Jesse Eisenberg, Abigail Breslin, and the great Bill Murry. The horror-comedy centered around Columbus (Eisenberg) and his rules for surviving in the undead infested world that is Zombieland. Columbus meets and ends up joining forces with Tallahassee (Harrelson). The two get their car stolen by Wichita (Stone) and and her kid sister Little Rock (Breslin), but through a series of events including a second and third hijacking the foursome end up getting together and forming a slightly dysfunctional yet endearing motley crew. Zombieland is action packed and hilarious with the crew shooting stories with Bill Murry, going to zombie-infested amusement parks, and battling zombies from Hollywood to the Midwest.
After years of anticipation and rumors of a sequel, Zombieland: Double Tap was released on October 18. The movie takes place ten years after the first one ended as Double Tap was released just over ten years after the first movie. Columbus, Tallahassee, Wichita, and Little Rock are all still together and are still kicking Zombieland’s butt. They have new and improved fire power, perfect for taking down zombies. After ten years they are close as family and better at putting down zombies than ever before. The zombies evolved in the last ten years and are more deadly than ever. They are faster, stronger, and harder to put down. Our crew has their work cut out for them with Little Rock growing up, working with people in a zombie-infested world, and the impending danger of being eaten by a zombie.
The only way to see how it turns out for the last few people left alive in Zombieland is to buy a ticket and go see Zombieland: Double Tap. The movie is showing in theaters all around and has earned a 7.3 on Rotten Tomatoes. This movie gets a 10/10 from anybody we have spoken to however and is definitely a must see.
