Kenny Beats is a producer and DJ hailing from the city of New York who’s real name is Kenneth Blume III. Blume is a pioneer with his tailored production style in the trap and hip-hop genres. The producer has an impressive discography, collaborating with artists like, Ski Mask the Slump God, Rico Nasty, Kendrick Lamar and Vince Staples. He was also apart of the duo LOUDPVCK alongside fellow DJ Ryan Marks. Blume is an influential artist in the industry who has made major waves in the hip-hop scene.
Kenneth Blume III was born in Greenwich, Connecticut. He went to Berkeley School of music in 2010 where he met fellow student Ryan Marks. This would lead them to begin a relationship over music and eventually create the duo LOUDPVCK with Marks and became a professional musician within a matter of months. The producer toured the world for 3 years making music.
Blum said, “One day it hit me like, ‘What is the music I really wanna make?’ I understood how I got there and it was great but [I had to ask myself] in ten years, what did I want to be known for?”
He later amicably disbanded LOUDPVCK in 2017 and focused on his hip-hop career.
Blume has worked with big name artists all over the world. The producer started with artists mostly in the EDM scene, like LOUDPVCK and Skrillex. Blume has made artists like Rico Nasty and KEY! popular by working on their albums Anger Management and 777. The producer has made many songs with different artist over the years with his most popular songs being “Foot Fungus” with Ski Mask and “Square Up!” with Zack Fox.
Kenny Beats is a quite popular producer whose brand is becoming a household name. He began working on his online presence even more with the release of his Youtube series called, “The Cave.” This series is quite popular where he invites famous rappers and makes music with them. His experience as an EDM artist and as a burgeoning rap producer has made his style noticeable and unique. Anytime someone hears “Woah Kenny” they know they are in for a good listen.
