Hi there, and welcome! My name is Mrs. Hammond, and I’m so excited to be your child’s teacher this year. We have an amazing journey ahead filled with learning, growth, and plenty of fun. I truly believe that a strong partnership between home and school makes all the difference, and I can’t wait to work together to help your child thrive here at Sudie!
A little about me: I’m originally from Houston, Texas, and went to college at Prairie View A&M University, but I’ve proudly called Dallas home for the past five years. This is my ninth year teaching and my fourth year at Sudie Williams. I absolutely love this community and the incredible families that make it so special.
Outside the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Brandon, and our sweet pup, Oliver. We are huge fans of travel and have been lucky enough to visit places like Greece, Amsterdam, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Belize, Mexico, and more--and we plan to keep exploring! (London is actually in our sights for this September!)
When we’re at home, you can usually find us curled up on the couch watching a good action/crime series, war film, or a classic horror movie (my favorite!). I’m also a big fan of taking walks, reading a new novel, and while coffee is my weekday go-to, weekends are all about relaxing and enjoying time together.
I can’t wait to get to know each of you and your amazing kids. Here’s to a fantastic year together!

If you’d like to help support our classroom, we have an Amazon Wishlist available with items that will make our learning space even more engaging and fun for the kids. Every little contribution goes a long way in creating the best environment for your child to learn and grow!
If you prefer to donate something else that isn’t on the list, please feel free—we’d love to incorporate as much as we can into our classroom. Thank you so much for your generosity and support!
