Welcome, 4th Grade Families!

I am thrilled to welcome you to the 2026–2027 school year! I hope you're just as excited as I am to begin this journey together as Sudie Lions! I am incredibly grateful to be part of such a special community as it truly feels like family. This will be my thirteenth year teaching in DISD and my fifth year here at Sudie teaching Math and Science to sections 4A and 4B. 

Mrs. Hammond and I are a dynamic duo - even winning the school-wide award for best team, yay! We work closely together to create a fun, supportive, and engaging learning environment for all our students. 

A Little About Me

I’m originally from Philadelphia, PA—and yes, I am a proud (and passionate!) Eagles fan. Fair warning: you won’t catch me cheering for the Cowboys anytime soon, though I might try to convert your student into an Eagles fan! 🦅 I attended West Chester University where I received my degree in Elementary Education. 

Moving to the Dallas area 13 years ago was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. It’s where I met my husband, Jared, and we’ve since been blessed with two beautiful daughters, Everly and Ella. When I’m not teaching, I love spending time with my family in the pool, taking bike rides, and playing princess. I also enjoy baking and try to make time for an occasional workout… when life allows!

I can’t wait to get to know each of you and to make this school year one full of learning, growth, and memorable experiences!
