Bookmark – allows you to mark a site so that you can return to it quickly and easily. (Also referred to as Favorite.)
Case Sensitive – upper and lower case letters are not interchangeable on the Internet.
Clip Art – free graphics available on the Internet that anyone can use, that is not copyrighted.
Download – transferring text, graphics or apps from the Web to your computer.
Internet – a whole system of networks that connect technology devices to a global network of computers that allows access to data sharing, email, and online commerce, among other things.
Links – icons or highlighted words on a web site that allow you to jump from one web page to another.
On-line – connected (using) the Internet
URL – uniform resource locator (fancy name for a web site’s address.)
World Wide Web (the web, WWW) – a part of the Internet that allows millions to access and view linked online documents on website pages.
Search Query - The words entered in a search engine to request information on the internet.
Browser - a program that allows users to search for documents and images on the Internet and then displays them on a device.
Server - a computer that provides a great deal of storage and quick access to files, images and data to other computers on a network or the internet.
Cookies - a file that has information about what you do on the Internet (examples: login information, passwords, or shopping cart information).
Bluetooth - Wireless technology that enables two Bluetooth devices to communicate to each other over a short distance.
