GPHS Play in a Day

GPHS "Play in a Day" ANNOUNCEMENT

Attention, Grants Pass High School-ians! Events are piling up at our GPHS Performing Arts Center, and one to watch out for specifically is the Play in a Day Festival, produced and performed by the Production students of the GPHS Theatre Department. This festival will feature approximately four different ten-minute plays, written by student playwrights, along with collaboration from other student leaders appointed as directors and stage managers.

If you are a student at GPHS and have interest in auditioning for this fun, experimental event, then auditions will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at 3:30 p.m. Report to room 517 in the PAC for your audition, and make sure you are ready on time. Be there early! Improv activities and sides from select shows will be given to you to perform from, so do not worry about preparing anything in advance. Have fun, and break a leg!

For all of you theatre-connoisseurs out there who enjoy supporting the department from the audience, the festival itself will be held on May 21 at 4 p.m. The performers, crew, and designers will show up at 9 a.m. and rehearse their pieces until 3 p.m., so if you are concerned about the quality of the show, then just keep in mind that this festival will highlight the process of theatre more than the actual product of it.

The cost of admission is zero dollars and zero cents! Anyone and everyone is welcomed to watch for free, but donations are greatly encouraged and accepted. Thank you for tuning in, and enjoy the show!
