Internships

Students:

• Are you interested in gaining hands-on industry experience and employability skills? 

• Make room in your schedule during your junior or senior year for an internship. 

Internships are typically reserved for 11th and 12th grade students who demonstrate readiness for next steps in their career pathway.  They usually take place during the school day and are most successful when they are built into your schedule.

• Promote hands on experience in a field of interest

• Provide productive value for the employer

• Provide exposure to various career pathways

• Offer opportunities to develop employability skills

• Develop occupational knowledge & technical skills

• Classroom instruction targeting student’s career awareness and employability skills

• Education and industry collaboration with internship design and implementation

• Opportunities for reflection, evaluation, and assessment
