Students interested in earning an Endorsement with Distinction but who are not part of the Agents of Change, AP Capstone, or CTE Capstone programs are welcome to complete an Independent Capstone.
Independent Capstones vary widely depending on the passions of individual students. All projects must begin with a proposal submitted to and approved by the Academy Coordinator, and an identified school staff member or community member to serve as a mentor. Capstones must include:
Thorough background research
A final productÂ
Presentation of the final product to members of the school or local community
A written reflection of the design process and results
These components should all be documented under the Capstone tab of the Tiger Portfolio.
