Counseling Department
The counseling office is open from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m on school days. Students can schedule an appointment with their counselor by stopping in the counseling office before/after school or during passing time or clicking on the "Counselor Appointment Request" link below.
Families are welcome to make an appointment to see their student's counselor by either calling the counseling office's main number at (970) 254-6600, option 3, or by contacting the specific counselor directly by email (see below).

COUNSELING MISSION STATEMENT
The Fruita Monument High School Counseling Program creates collaborative partnerships with students, families, other educators, and the community to ensure each student is supported in their personal, academic, and career/college pursuits.
What services do we offer?
Counseling services are delivered in five specific ways:
Individual Student Planning - assisting students with academic and post-secondary planning, goal formation/planning (behavioral, academic, etc.)
Classroom Counseling Curriculum - delivering classroom lessons related to Individualized Career and Academic Plans (ICAP) so that students develop specific post-secondary plans
Group Counseling - providing small group counseling to support student social/emotional needs (grief, anxiety, etc.)
Responsive Services - meeting immediate student needs (counseling, crisis intervention, consultation, referral, peer mediation, information-providing)
System Support - school wide program planning and implementation (i.e. MTSS Intervention Support, suicide prevention, etc.), consulting with other professionals, coordination of various supports for students and families
