Travel is immensely important to me and our school's community. My goal is to help students understand that the world is far greater than the United States of America, and in order to be global citizens, our students need to experience different cultures, foods, arts and entertainment, as well as learn about the historical, current, and potential-future impact that we have on our world.
For every six travelers (both students and adults), we're able to scholarship a student in need to go on the trip with us for free. Students have to complete a scholarship application and write an essay explaining why they want to go, what they hope to get out of the experience, and why we should choose them over another candidate. Applications and essays are then ranked and scored, and the best essay will earn our first scholarship position--and so forth.
We are looking forward to this year's tour (Epic Greece), and are planning future tours to Italy, South Africa, Belize, Peru, Vienna, and Thailand.
