Professional and Personal Goals

GOALS:

In the very near future, I hope to:

• help to build the SCHS community through building strong working relationships with students, staff, and parents

• ensure that students will be successful in AP Literature-- learning skills that will prepare them for college coursework in English/Language Arts

  • continue to receive training in AP to support students in the program

• incorporate lessons in ELA classes that will allow students opportunities to have meaningful Civil Discourse discussions

  • collaborate with Social Studies/History Dept. to plan cross-curricular lessons

Finally, the goal paramount to both my personal and professional success is to show my son that anyone-- at any point in time-- may continue to learn great things, and in turn, either share that knowledge with others, or positively impact her local community as a result of an education. I know (and want to teach him) that positive change begins with me, and must lead and teach him such a lesson by example.
