Where can I print documents at North High School?

Printing stations are set up in the LRC. You can log into one of the many computers set up for students to use and print from there. Alternatively, you can share your items in Google with the LRC staff and they can print it in color for you.

Where can I rent a memory stick or other equipment for my Chromebook?

You can visit the LRC and the staff can help you out.

How can I convert video files to an MP4 file?

There are many online converters to do this. Cloud Converter works really well.

What are some great resources for helping me out in Math, English, Science, or History?

Math: Desmos, Wolfram-Alpha, Khan Academy

How can I use a website that is blocked?

You can ask a teacher to approve it or do it yourself. Click Here to Request an UnBlock

How can I make and edit videos for class projects?

The LRC has GoPro's available for check-out and all students and staff have access to We Video!, an online video editing software. If you have any questions, or need help using it, book an appointment to come see us! We'd be happy to help.

Chromebook

My Chromebook isn't connecting to the WiFi. What should I do?

Make sure your WiFi is turned on and in range of the device. If it still doesn't connect, stop at the front desk in the LRC to have them hard reset your device.

My videos are blurry when I am trying to watch them on YouTube or other sites. How do I fix this?

My browser has gotten slower over time. What can I do to speed it up again?

Go into Chrome settings and clear your cookies.

How can I check if my Chromebook software is up to date?

Make sure your Chromebook is connected to the WiFi. Click on your account photo, then click settings, menu, and About Chrome OS. Then under "Google Chrome OS", click Check for Updates, and if your Chromebook finds a software update, it will start to download automatically.

Why can't I take Google Forms on my Chromebook or other device?

1. Make sure you are on your school-issued account that is connected to the survey.

2. Go into Chrome settings and clear your cache and history for ALL TIME.

What is another way I can take notes on my Chromebook, without using Google Drive?

Try using Google Keep! You can label and organize your notes by subject, and access them on any device!

Chromebook Shortcuts

How can I see all the Chromebook shortcuts?

Press down CTRL - ALT - ? and it will display every shortcut possible.

How can I search for a single term or topic on a web-page?

Press down CTRL - F, and then type in the term into the search bar that shows up. It will highlight wherever it finds what you entered, on the page.

How can I take a screenshot on my Chromebook?

Hold down CTRL - Shift, and the press on the "Switch Window" button. The cursor will temporarily be replaced with a crosshair that allows you to select the section you want to screenshot.

How can I reopen a closed tab?

Press down CTRL - Shift - T and it will open the last tab you closed.

I accidentally closed out of Chrome, and I lost all of my tabs! How do I re-open them?

Go into Chrome and click on History. There, you will see an option to restore all tabs from your last session Click on it, and they should all open.
