DECEMBER HIGHLIGHTS
The month of December was full of Holiday fun in the low incidence program. Mrs. Zimmerman's classroom took a virtual Holiday lights community trip. Students enjoyed all of the lights and music that went alone with the trip. Mrs. Rollins' and Dr. Wilson's classrooms took community trips to Five Below and Dollar Tree/T. J. Maxx for their Holiday shopping. Students followed Holiday shopping lists in order to purchase presents for their friends and family. They had to locate the items, use the dollar up method, decide if they had enough money to purchase their items, and pay for them at the cashier. Students did an excellent job and had so much fun. When returning to school, each student wrapped their purchases for their friends and family. Students were excited to put the presents under the tree in the classroom as well as bring some home for their families. The last two days of the Holiday week, the classrooms celebrated the Holiday in their classrooms by creating many crafts, playing Holiday games, unwrapping presents from staff and friends, and enjoying yummy treats.
Staff and students also enjoyed taking "elfies" as a North Pole elf throughout the month of December. Pictures were hung outside the classrooms for viewing enjoyment. Please take a look at our "elfies" and have a wonderful Winter Break! We will see you in January for more fun!
