December 2024: Module
Module 4: Students have already started their study on Decimals with all four operations. Calculators are not to be used on this unit. Next up, Module 5, Rates and Ratios. Students will explore writing a ratio three ways, finding equivalent ratios, completing ratio tables, and finding unit rate.
7th Grade

7th Grade math
The students will be wrapping up second quarter with their Percent Taco Truck Project. They will be applying what they learned about percent change, tax, tip, and simple interest to create a Taco Truck business. When students return from Winter Break, we will begin writing and solving one and two-step equations.
Accelerated Math
The students will be completing Module 6: Writing and Solving Multi-step Equations. When the students return from Winter Break, they will apply what they learned about equations to help them solve and graph inequalities.
8th Grade Algebra 1A
Currently in Quarter 2, we are working on a Geometry Unit with a focus of using linear equations to find missing angles in angle pairs (Complementary, Supplementary, Vertical, and Parallel lines cut by a transversal). See picture to the left.
8th Grade Honors Algebra 1
We just finished up linear equations including slope, graphing lines, and writing equations. We will be solving systems of equations and taking the final exam right before winter break. Review guides will be given in the class periods prior to the test.
