Spirited Away (2001)
Recommended by Ari Weingart
I'm recommending this film because I believe it's one (if not the greatest) animated film of all time.
Kalinia Matchinski recommended this son because she thinks it's good and catchy.
We're Back! A Dinosaur's Story. Recommended by Mrs. Hoppes
It's a film I watched over and over as a kid! I remember it being fun to watch dinosaurs take over New York City with their silly shenanigans. I also loved their personalities and connection they made with the kids in the movie.
I love movies that encompass a lot of emotions. I want to laugh, cry, freak out, and cheer all within the same movie!
Mrs. LaGrippe recommended, "Situation" by Yaz. It was released in 1982, this was one of two albums the short lived band released and I always thought it was ahead of its time. "Only You" was much more popular and my favorite, but Situation has a little more energy. I played this album over and over for years and every now and again, I hear one of their songs in a TV show or elevator.
Wizard of Oz Recommended by Nico Jensen
Wizard of Oz because this is one of the most famous movies of all time. It's good .
Disciple of Christ by Benjamin Josiah
Zachary Howell recommended Disciple of Christ by Benjamin Josiah. He recommended this because, of how it makes him feel and because of the calm tone to it and the message from the song might be different to everyone.
Titanic
Recommended by Mrs. Erickson
Titanic was THE movie when I was in 8th grade. Everyone went to see it and if you didn't see it, you were missing out on a major cultural touchstone. You also couldn't escape the song, "My Heart Will Go On". (I tried to attach the song, but YouTube wouldn't let me download the song, so I've just attached a photo of the movie.)
Mrs. Pingatore recommended Smile by Nat King Cole. She said that, this song always puts a SMILE on my face and reminds me to find the good in everything... like "The Glad Game". She also wanted you to know that she is an eighth grade ELA teacher who loves all kinds of music.
