How to properly align things
by Harry Yang
A lot of people don’t know how to properly move something perfectly to the middle, whether it be a heading or a title of something. Here’s an example of what someone should not do.
How to properly align things
If you try to pinpoint exactly where the middle is with tabs or spaces, not only would it be uncentered but it is very inconsistent. Instead, highlight your title or heading or whatever you want to move to the middle and look for "Align & indent." Select “Center Align” or if you want you can press left or right align. If you want to seem like a professional, don’t try to move something to the middle with spaces, guessing where the middle is. Instead, use the feature embedded into google drive.
Customizing your Chromebook
by: Kayla Oronsaye
The district allows every kid from 1st grade to 12th grade to get a chromebook. Even from the start, students wanted to customize this device to their interests. From changing their background to adding on stickers, it was a natural thing to customize. Students started to get crafty making joke wallpaper, and making their own shortcuts. But not all students chose to share this knowledge, or just didn’t know how. The easiest way to access a ton of customization tools is through settings. Once you’ve entered settings, look at the right hand side, the toolbar. The most helpful things on the toolbar are Device, Wallpaper and style, and Accessibility. The first option listed, Device’s most useful customization features are Touchpad and Keyboard and inputs. Touchpad like its name has everything to do with the touchpad. Whether you want to tap your touchpad, instead of pressing it, or change your touchpad speed, this section has it. The next one, Keyboard and inputs allow you to customize keyboard keys, press and hold to repeat the key, and more! Keyboard shortcuts are also something you can edit. You can access the keyboard shortcuts by scrolling down from keyboard inputs. The second option listed, Wallpaper and Style is very easy. Once you click it. There is only one option, and that’s the option you click to change your wallpaper! However, most people rather right click their shelf, and then press Set wallpaper & style. The last option listed, Accessibility, has 7 options. It’s best to explore each one to see which one fits your needs. The option most helpful to me is Cursor and Touchpad.
