What is robotics team? In the robotics team, a group of students work together in different sub-groups to create a robot in order to enter a competition called high stakes. In this competition, robots must grab rings and place them on pillars.
What are some parts of the competition? although the trailer and instruction for high stakes came out earlier this year shown here VEX V5 Robotics Competition: High Stakes | 2024-2025 Game. To summarize the video, each team must attempt to put all their rings on the stakes, where there are forty-eight rings in all. There are ten stakes on the map, each being able to hold six rings, although 5 of them are known as mobile stakes, which can be moved around the map, and two immovable “wall stakes”, which cannot be moved, but still holds six rings, two “alliance stakes” which can hold two rings of that side each, and one high stake, which the robots must climb a tall tower to place a single ring of their side on it. Each ring on a regular stake is worth one point, and the ring on the top of a stake, known as the top ring, is an extra two points. The robots must climb a bar to get to the high stake.
