The low incidence program celebrated Read Across America Week. Staff and students from DMS joined our classrooms every day to read multiple books to us. The students really enjoyed everyone coming into the classroom and even meeting new people from DMS. In addition, the students were able to practice their listening skills while someone read to them. Everyone did such a great job. We can't wait to do it again next year!
The low incidence department went to Menards this month for our community trip. Students were able to look for items off of their shopping list or scavenger hunt and identify the correct aisles the items may be in. They also practiced paying for some items at the cashier and using their best social skills in the store.
