Machining Practices

• Safety glasses at all times 

• Long hair must be tied back

• Short sleeves preferred, long sleeves can be rolled up

• Loose or baggy clothing not allowed

• Always run graphics to check for programming and setup errors

• Check all tools and work offsets

• First run every program - Single Block, Optional Stop, 5% Rapid, Distance to Go

Shop standards:

• Milling: for z-height for G43  is 2" as it is easily checked with 1, 2, 3 block

• Lathe: X diam location 0.1" greater than stock diameter and z-location 0.1" to right of part face
